“Turkey In The Straw” with Charlie Blacklock

Charlie Blacklock spent his life promoting the musical saw. He produced musical saws, started the International Musical Saw Festival, and taught hundreds of people how to play. He passed away in 2008, but as a result of his enthusiasm for the saw, the musical saw is now as popular as ever. His saws are a favorite of saw players all over the world, and his family has kept the tradition going by continuing the saw festival every year since his passing. Here you can hear him play “Turkey In The Straw” with his grandson Kenny Blacklock on the fiddle and Art Peterson on the accordion. Art Peterson is the current International Musical Saw Association president, and Kenny and his family still produce the saw festival every year.

Happy Thanksgiving!
