Merry Christmas from Stanley Tools!

I think most people who play the saw, play a musical saw, but there are some intrepid musicians who play a real handsaw. It can be more of a challenge to make a regular handsaw sound good. They are usually thicker steel and they aren’t always a good shape for playing. Here’s a fellow who sure has the knack, Guido Lamell. Lamell was a violinist with the LA philharmoic for many years, and he passed away in 2021. He is missed by saw players everywhere. He really was a great player and in this short video, he gives a nice introduction to his 30 year-old Stanley.
