Killer Warren Waid: Somewhere My Love

I haven’t been able to find out much about Killer Warren Waid, but he played the saw and the electric guitar and spent some of his time in Michigan during the 1970’s. He was a fine saw player, and he played old-timey music, accompanying dulcimer players on his electric guitar. Here is a recording of Waid playing “Somewhere My Love” on the saw. The flip side of this recording is “Mansion On The Hill.” I know some people frown on too much saw vibrato, but Waid has a great vibrato technique and it sounds just right to me, especially at the end of “Mansion On The Hill.”
